The viral video shows an old incident happened in Atlantic Ocean

According to the IMD, Cyclone Biparjoy is expected to make landfall in Gujarat's Saurashtra and Kutch regions and the adjoining Pakistani coasts on June 15. Other parts of India are receiving significant rains as a result of the cyclonic activity. Amidst this we have noticed a viral video of a ship is rocking in the middle of the sea. Fact Check-

Our investigation began with a reverse image search of key frames from the viral video, which led us to a longer version of the viral video uploaded by a verified YouTube channel called Underworld on September 28, 2022. With the caption “SHIPS CAUGHT IN MONSTER WAVES”. In this video you can watch the scenes of the video placed in the post after 8.25 minutes.

In further search we found the same viral video uploaded on YouTube on 16 August 2021 with the caption “Oil Tanker in Hurricane | Heavy Seas in The North Atlantic Ocean”

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. The viral video shows an old incident happened in Atlantic Ocean. It has no connection to the recent Cyclone Biparjoy.
