Don't be a victim to Coca-Cola mini refrigerator giveaway! This is a scam
A post claiming that Coca Cola is giving away free mini-fridge and special gift bags to everyone is going viral on social media. The post asked the users to comment 'Done' on the comment section to avail the free gift from the company.
However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. There is no such promotion by the Coca-Cola company. This is an old message and a way to lure people to be a victim of a scam.

A social media user wrote, "Coca-Cola is sending out mini Fridge and Special Gift Bags to everyone who put (Done) before 19th September"
Fact Check-
A relevant keyword search on Google led us to a clarification by the Coca-Cola company calling the viral message as a scam. Addressing to a similar promotion, in 2022, a post by Coca-Cola on Facebook reads, "The below post is a scam and is not associated with The Coca-Cola Company. We strongly advice you not to interact with any links related to this promotion."

Another website also called this as a scam. After responding to such posts and messages the scammers will provide the users a link to a website which eventually ask them to enter their shipping details and other personal information. At the end, they ask the users to make a small payment which exposes their credit card details and other personal information.
According to another report, the promotion of giveaway of mini fridge by Coca-Cola is a phishing scam which is circulating on WhatsApp and many social media platforms. The scammers impersonate Coca-Cola and lure the users a chance to win a refrigerator and temp them to click a malicious link to a fake website which asks them to participate in the free giveaway. The scam requires users to share the message with their contacts, spreading the phishing attempt. Once personal and financial details are entered, scammers gain access to sensitive data which can lead to financial loss.
