A video showing a group of people burning the national flags of India, the United States, and Israel is going viral on social media with the claim that the incident took place in Iran.
Let’s check the truth.
Fact check:
We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on an Instagram post and the video’s description identified the location as Numaish, Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road, Karachi.
The caption of the video states, “Visuals from Karachi, Pakistan, show Indian flags being burned alongside US and Israeli flags during a pro-Iran protest. The message was clearly anti-India, anti-US, and anti-Israel. What stands out is the irony, while anti-America slogans were raised on the streets, Pakistan’s leadership continues to maintain strong ties with the US. Once again, the difference between slogans and reality is clearly visible”.

Moving forward, we found the same video on YouTube Shorts with a description, “Burning Indian, US, and Israeli flags in the streets of Karachi during a pro-Iran protest.”
By closely analysing the viral video, we observed a banner displaying text in Urdu, which confirms its origin as Pakistan. Furthermore, by using Google Maps to examine a building visible in the video, we identified it as the Midtown building situated on Numaish, Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road, Karachi.

Conclusion
Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the video to be misleading. This video was recorded in Karachi, Pakistan during a protest, not from Iran.
