However, upon investigation, we discovered that the claim was misleading. The viral video is old and unrelated to the recent fire incident in Palam. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a report published in the NDTV on 10, 2025, that contained the viral video.

According to the report, the video was from Delhi’s Dwarka, where a fire broke out on the eighth and ninth floors of a building killing a 35-year-old man and his two children.

We found another report published in The Times of India on June 10, 2025.

According to the report, “A massive fire at a highrise in Dwarka Sector 13 on Tuesday morning claimed the lives of a man and his two young children, who jumped from their eighth-floor flat in a desperate attempt to escape the flames.”…

Other reports can be read here and here.

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to the recent Palam house fire incident.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video doesn’t show the recent Palam house fire incident that claimed nine lives of a family. This is an old video from June 2025, where three people died after jumping from a multi-storey building in an attempt to escape a house fire in Delhi’s Dwarka.
