The users who share the video believes it shows a real incident. The caption of the post states, “If you didn’t want to help, you could’ve just said no. What was the need to pour hot tea?”

Fact Check-
We started our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded by the Instagram account of Farhan Beg, who also goes by Booster Bhai on social media. The video was uploaded on 31 December, 2025.
We analysed his page and found that he identifies as a digital creator and regularly posts similar staged videos involving tea being poured on boys. He reposted the same viral video on 5 January and he mentioned in the caption that he made the video for entertainment purposes only.
As the video gained traction and sparked outrage online, the creator addressed the situation in an Instagram post. In this post, he stated that the video was made purely for entertainment purposes and shared behind-the-scenes content from the viral video.
The information indicates that the videos are scripted, the tea shop featured in the videos is situated in Uttar Pradesh. For further clarification, we reached out to the creator, who explained that he consistently produces and shares these videos solely for entertainment purposes.
Based on all these evidences, we can confirm that the viral video is not a real incident. The video does not show a real event but is scripted content. It was uploaded by Farhan Beg, also known as Booster Bhai, on his social media accounts, where he regularly posts similar scripted videos.
