We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on 8 May 2025.

The caption of the post read, “Swarm drone attack launched by Pakistan targeting key Indian military installations and vital infrastructure in Jammu and Punjab.”
Moving forward, we found a report published in NDTV on 8 May 2025 that contained the viral video.

According to the report, Pakistan carried out several drone attacks in Pathankot, Jaisalmer and Jammu. India thwarted all of them.
