According to recent reports, multiple suspected drones have been spotted hovering over the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts on 11 January, 2025. Officials said that all the flying objects were seen coming from the Pakistan side and returned after hovering over Indian territory for a few minutes. Against this backdrop, a video has been shared on social media claiming it to be the footage of the drones seen recently. Sharing the video, a user wrote, “Multiple Pakistani drones were detected crossing the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, nearly eight months after Operation Sindoor. The drones were reportedly spotted hovering near sensitive areas along the border before disappearing from radar.
Security forces have taken the incident seriously and increased surveillance across forward regions. Officials are assessing whether the drone movement was for reconnaissance, smuggling, or other hostile purposes.
