Old Video Of The US Military Exercise Going Viral Linking To The Capture Of The Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Recently, a video went viral on social media, purportedly showing footage of the US Army landing in Caracas, Venezuela. Sharing the video, a user wrote, “America’s elite Delta Force units entered Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, to captured President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.”

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and unrelated to the capture of the President of Venezuela. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an X handle where a video similar to the viral video was uploaded on 11 June 2025. 

The caption reads, “U.S. SPECIAL FORCES”

Moving forward, we found a similar video on the official Facebook page of Fox News uploaded on 11 June 2025. 

The caption of the video reads, “U.S. special forces touch down in Fort Bragg, North Carolina ahead of President Donald J. Trumps speech to mark the Army’s birthday.”

We found the viral clip in a video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of the White House on 12 June 2025. 

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to the capture of the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show the US Army landing in Caracas, Venezuela, to capture President Nicolás Maduro. This is an old video that shows a military exercise during President Donald Trump’s visit to Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
