However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim is misleading. The video is old and unrelated to the recent Bihar Assembly Elections. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on an Instagram handle on 11 February 2024. The caption of the video read, “Teachers staged a protest in Bihar’s Jehanabad earlier today against competency test”.

This makes it clear that the video predates the recent Bihar Assembly Elections.

We heard a man shouting in the viral video “Today’s Protest against K K Pathak”.

We saw a hoarding (Titan World) in this video. We noticed the word Begusarai written in Hindi.

We found several news reports on the “Niyojit Teachers’ Protests” in various parts of Bihar in February 2024.

Although we couldn’t confirm the exact location of the video, it’s clear that the video predates the recent Bihar Assembly Elections.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video predates the recent Bihar Assembly Elections.
