Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activists went ahead with their route march in Sedam, Karnataka on 19 October despite denial of permission by the government citing law and order problem in the town. Following this, a video of members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) marching through the streets is going viral on social media with a claim that it shows the recent route march (Path Sanchalan) from Karnataka.
The caption of the post states, “1,500 RSS volunteers hold Path Sanchalan in #Karnataka’s Sedam despite permission denial “.
Let’s check the truth
The same video is going viral on Facebook as well.
Fact Check-
We began our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on google and the results led us to the same video uploaded on a Facebook page on 25 May 2025 and the caption states it was a route march held in Nagpur.
This indicates that the viral video is not recent and not related to Karnataka.

Moving forward, we came across the same video on the Twitter handle of ANI news, stating that it shows an RSS path sanchalan in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Thus, we can understand that the video is at least five months old and is not linked to Karnataka. While observing the video carefully we can see the names of several shops of the street like Mafiya and Hitler. Using these shop names and Nagpur as clues, we looked for the location on Google Maps. We found a place named Tiranga Chowk, whose street view showed both shops in the same place, identical with the viral video confirming that the video is from Nagpur.
Taking account of these evidences, we can clearly understand that an old video from Nagpur falsely shared as recent RSS rally carried out without permission in Karnataka.
Conclusion-
Fact Crescendo discovered that the claim made in the viral video to be Misleading. This viral video shows RSS rally from Nagpur and it dates back to May 2025. It has no link to Karnataka.
