A video of a road collapsing and generating a big sinkhole near a high-rise apartment building has gone viral on social media with the claim that it shows a road collapse near the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

Fact Check-
We started our investigation with the reverse image search on Google and the results led us to an Instagram post of the bridge chronicle featuring the same video. The description part states, “A gigantic sinkhole, approximately 50 meters deep, suddenly appeared near a hospital on Samsen Road in Thailand’s Bangkok on Wednesday, swallowing cars and electric poles. The collapse is believed to be connected to ongoing construction of a nearby railway station. Three vehicles were damaged while no injuries were reported”.
According to these reports, the video shows a massive 50-metre-deep sinkhole that formed on 24 September 2025 near Vajira Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
Moving forward, we found several news reports regarding this incident. An article published by The Indian Express on 25 September, 2025 includes the screenshots from the same video. The report credited a Reddit user for sharing the clip and stated that the incident occurred in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, on September 24, 2025, outside a hospital.
As per Bangkok Post report, “A section of Samsen Road in front of Vajira Hospital in Bangkok subsided forming a huge sinkhole about 20 metres deep. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred at 7.13am, with the sinkhole estimated to be 30 metres wide and 30 metres long. It formed immediately abve the under-construction Vajira Hospital train station.

As per the Independent video report, “a 50-metre-deep sinkhole opened in front of a Bangkok hospital sucking in cars and electricity poles in a collapse that shocked city residents and was linked to the construction of a nearby underground railway station”.
