This viral video of light show is not from Jaisalmer, but from China

A beautiful video of a light show in the middle of a sandy beach is going viral on social media with the claim that it is from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The video shows the light show, while people are sitting and filming the scene.
Let’s check the truth.
Fact Check-
By performing a reverse image search on Google with the key frames of the video, the results led us to a similar video uploaded on an Instagram page mentioning the location as mingsha mountain, yueyaquan, China.
Upon further search, we found the same video was also uploaded on a YouTube channel on 20 August, 2025, again describing it as footage from Dunhuang, China.
Moving forward, we found the same video on a Facebook page named “Beautiful Places in China”, uploaded on 28 August, 2025, where the description states, Sand dunes of yueyaquan mountain, China. Huge amount of people come here to enjoy the sunset. It’s a very beautiful place to visit.

The viral video was found uploaded in the name of China at many other places .
Using the information we received, we conducted further searches and found a video from CCTV Video News Agency , which describes a light show in China. According to the information, the video is from Yuequan, China, where a large number of people come to enjoy the sunset. The ancient desert city of Dunhuang in northwest China’s Gansu Province intrigued music fans with large scale concert performances and drone and light shows at its famous scenic spot.
Conclusion-
Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This viral video is not from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan but from China.
