However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is unrelated to the ongoing conflict between Cambodia and Thailand. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a verified Instagram Handle of a journalist Wissam Nassar where the viral video was uploaded on 24 July 2025. The caption of the video read, “A ramming attack at Beit Lid junction left several Israeli occupation soldiers injured. The suspect fled the scene, triggering an intensive manhunt supported by military helicopters.
In response, occupation forces sealed off checkpoints and tightened restrictions on nearby Palestinian areas, intensifying the pressure on civilians already living under siege.”
Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search which led us to a video uploaded on the Roya News English YouTube channel on 24 July 2025. The place in the video is similar to the viral one. The description of the video read, “At least 8 “Israelis” have been injured in a suspected car-ramming attack that occurred today, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at a bus stop on Route 57 near the entrance to Kfar Yona, close to the city of Netanya.
The IDF has confirmed that all the wounded were military personnel. (Some initial reports indicated 9 injured soldiers, with some in critical condition.)”
We found another video report showing the same place as the place in the viral video on the official YouTube channel of CNN-News18 on 24 July 2025. The description of the video read, “Scene of attack at bus station, where a vehicle reportedly hit pedestrians injuring several people on site.
Nine Israeli soldiers were injured on Wednesday afternoon in what authorities described as a suspected car-ramming attack in Kfar Yona in central Israel.”
According to reports, “A suspected car-ramming attack injured at least eight people near the Beit Lid junction on Route 57 in central Israel on 24 July 2025. The driver targeted a bus stop before fleeing the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind. Emergency services confirmed five people were moderately wounded and three sustained light injuries. Security forces have launched a large-scale manhunt, sealing nearby West Bank crossings and deploying helicopters, police dogs, and Yasam units. Authorities are treating the incident as a potential terror attack as the search for the perpetrator intensifies.”
Other reports can be read here and here.
This makes it clear that the viral video is unrelated to the ongoing conflict between Cambodia and Thailand.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show the Cambodian army entering Thailand during the ongoing conflict between the two countries. The video is from Central Israel. A vehicle rammed into several pedestrians waiting at a bus stop near the central town of Kfar Yona in Central Israel on 24 July 2025.
