A video of a crowd carrying a few body bags went viral on social media claiming it to be the funeral procession of the Joshi family who died in the Ahmedabad Plane Crash.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is from Gaza. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
At the beginning of our investigation, we noticed that an Islamic prayer had been chanted towards the end of the video. This indicates that the funeral procession could be of Muslim people.
We took some screenshots from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to a report published on Al Jazeera on 20 May 2025 which contained a video. We found an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video, but shot from a different angle.
The report read, “An Israeli air strike on the Musa bin Nusair School in Gaza City has killed at least a dozen Palestinians, including children and a pregnant woman. The school had been sheltering forcibly displaced families.”

This makes it clear that the viral video is from Gaza, Palestine.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The video doesn’t show the funeral procession of the Joshi family who lost their lives in the Ahmedabad Plane Crash. The video is from Gaza, Palestine
