A dance video of soldiers going viral on social media with the claim that it features Pakistani and Chinese soldiers celebrating after Pakistan’s alleged Operation Bunyan Al-Marsous against India.
The caption of the post states, “On the frontier, Pakistani and Chinese troops revel in jubilant triumph, basking in the glory of a monumental victory over India”.
Fact Check-
We started the investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to the same video uploaded on YouTube in November 2018 with the caption, “Pakistani and Chinese Border Guard Troops dancing at Khunjerab Pass Pakistan-China Border Gate”.
From this, we can understand that the viral video is old and not related to the recent India- Pakistan conflict.
Upon further search, we found an extended version of this viral video on travel vlogger Jojo Aigner’s YouTube channel. The vlogger explains that he is crossing the Pakistan border and entering China. You can see the viral video at the timestamp of 8:30 to 9:26 of this video which shows that Pakistan and China are doing a friendly dance.
The video has been available online since 2018. It is unrelated to recent tensions.
