The caption of the video states “This Is NOT Clickbait – My Covid-19 Experience | Vlog 24.” This video is a part of the daily vlog he was creating during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2021. In this video he mentions that he was tested positive for COVID-19. In this video he says, “I have been tested positive for COVID-19, I have exposed my entire team to this disease and all my work has halted due to this. I don’t want to vlog this but if I don’t vlog then there won’t be any video to upload on the channel, now for 14 days I will have to live life like we did during the lockdown. I just want to get better and work.”
Since, this video has been present on the internet since 2021, it is clear that this video is not Ranveer Allahbadia’s reaction after the ongoing controversy.
Ranveer has issued an apology for making obscene jokes on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Facing intense backlash for his remarks, Ranveer took to X on 10 February to admit his mistake and express remorse.
In the video, he acknowledged that comedy is not his strength and assured his audience that he would use his platform more responsibly moving forward.
“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate—it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m here to say sorry,” he stated. “Many of you asked if this is how I want to use my platform, and the answer is no. I’m not going to offer any context, justification, or reasoning for what happened.”
He continued, “I’m here solely to apologize. I had a lapse in judgment, and it wasn’t right on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever want to disrespect.”
