Arvind Kejriwal Criticizing Himself? Let’s Find Out The Truth.

Recently, a video of the former Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, went viral on social media. The video shows Arvind Kejriwal allegedly criticizing himself in a public meeting. Sharing the video on Facebook, a user wrote, “Kejriwal is finally accepting the truth”.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the video had been clipped. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to the official Facebook page of Arvind Kejriwal where we found the full version of the video live-streamed on 20 January 2025. According to the caption, the video shows a public meeting in Vishwas Nagar Delhi. From around the timestamp 17: 16, the viral video can be seen. In this video, Kejriwal can be heard talking about BJP. Arvind Kejriwal said that whenever the BJP is asked about their work, they start abusing him. In this context, he started reading a paper and said that he made a list of BJP’s abusive language targeting him. 

We found the same video streamed on the official YouTube channel of “Aam Aadmi Party” on 20 January 2025. From the timestamp 21:10, the viral clip can be seen. 

A comparison between the viral video and the original video can be seen below.

Now, we took some screenshots from the viral Instagram video and conducted a reverse image search. In this viral video, a yellow Tilak can be seen on Arvind Kejriwal’s forehead. The reverse image search led us to the full version of the video live-streamed on the official Facebook page of Arvind Kejriwal on 20 January 2025. According to the caption, the video shows a public meeting in Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. 

From the timestamp 13:38, the viral clip can be seen. Going through the video, we could understand that Arvind Kejriwal was not criticizing himself. Instead, Kejriwal was talking about the BJP and said that whenever the BJP is asked about their work, they start abusing him.

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. In the viral video, Arvind Kejriwal was not criticizing himself. Arvind Kejriwal was talking about the BJP and said that whenever the BJP is asked about their work, they start abusing him.
