We started our investigation by conducting a keyword and reverse image search on Google and the results led us to several news reports regarding the incident.

According to reports, the incident took place at a dairy farm in Jamsher, Jalandhar, Punjab. A report by The Tribune states, “After scenes of brutal beatings of cows went viral, outrage over the brutality created outrage in the city. A group of local residents led by the leader of the Animal Protection Foundation, Abhishek Bakshi, came forward and demanded action from the authorities. They gathered outside PPR Mall and protested before proceeding to Jamsher Police Station. The group demanded immediate action against the attackers and the owner of the diary where the incident is said to have taken place.
Their collective efforts led to a complaint being lodged with the police, urging them to investigate the matter and trace the mobile source of the video, which could help identify those responsible.
The complaint, addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, emphasised that the incident could be part of a larger network involved in illegal cow slaughter and beef trading, which is punishable under the Punjab Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955. Following the complaint, an FIR under Sections 325 of the BNS and 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, was registered last night at Police Station Sadar against an unknown person”.
For further clarification, spoke to Animal Protection . They clarified to our correspondent that “The cow was brutally beaten and killed. We filed a complaint demanding the arrest of the accused , but so far we have received a response that the culprits are absconding and the police have yet to nab them. We have filed an FIR in the incident and registered a case.”
