Fact Check-

We ran a Google reverse image search of viral photo. As a result, we found a video of the same incident uploaded on Narendra Modi’s official YouTube channel on 13 May 2024. The caption of the video says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Patna Sahib Guru of Harimandi. Over the years, PM Modi has had deep ties with the Sikh community and has taken the needs of the Sikhs seriously.

Many mainstream media had also reported on Modi’s visit to the Gurudwara which you can read here and here.

For more clarification, Fact Crescendo contacted Daljeet Singh, manager of the Gurudwara. He said, “The Prime Minister voluntarily came to the langar (cooking place) and cooked food for the devotees gathered there. He cooked Chapati, pulses and curries Later, he distributed prasad to the devotees with his own hands. As the gas stove kept at Langar has a high flame, we reduced it to prevent any danger to him, as he was not familiar with our kitchen stove. The photo which is going viral on social media is being circulated with false descriptions.

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be misleading. The Gurudwara authorities clarified that the Prime Minister was not familiar with their kitchen, so the flame of the stove was reduced to minimum to avoid any danger.
