Prime Minister Modi recently addressed an election rally in Rajasthan. Against this backdrop, a video is being widely circulated on social media, showing a huge crowd at PM Modi’s rally.
The caption states, “Today People going to Modiji’s rally at Rajasthan”.
But did the crowd seen in the video really come to PM Modi’s rally? Let’s check the truth.
Fact Check-
We started our investigation by conducting a keyword and reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a Facebook post shared on 25 April 2019.We can see the viral video in the post. According to the caption of the post, this video is of a Congress election rally held at Ramseen in Jalore district of Rajasthan. The post also says that in this rally Rahul Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, a senior Congress leader solicited votes for the Congress candidate in Jalore.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also posted pictures of this rally on his Facebook page. According to his post, he participated in the Congress rally organized for the campaign of Ratan Devasi, the Congress candidate from the Jalore-Sirohi Lok Sabha constituency.
If we watch the video carefully, we can see the Congress flag after 17 seconds.

A 5-year-old video from Rajasthan is being falsely shared as if lakhs of people came to PM Modi’s rally.
