Fact Check-

After closely analysing the video, we discovered that something was written on the banner behind the people. A rough translation of this text using Google Lens reads, "Turban training camp. On the last prayer of Veer Sidhu Moose Wala"

It has been suggested that the video is from the funeral ceremony of Sidhu Moosewala, who was a prominent Punjabi singer and Congress leader. He worked predominantly in Punjabi-language music and cinema. Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on 29 May, 2022 a day after the state government withdrew his security cover along with that of over 400 others.

Keeping this in mind, we searched more and found a post on the Zardaria Trust Punjab Facebook page with similar images. The post included images of the same person from the viral video. We also noticed a poster of Moosewala in the background, which appeared in the popular video as well. The text of the post read, "Moosewala's final prayer - Sardariaan Trust put up Turban stall, Both Hindus and Muslims tied turbans."

In further search, we discovered the viral video while checking the Sardarian Trust Punjab Facebook page. It was shared on 10June, 2022. On 8 June, 2022 Moosewala's final prayer service was held in Punjab's Mansa district, the singer's hometown. The caption stated that on the last prayer meet for singer, the Sardarian Trust had organised a turban training camp. Members of Hindu and Muslim community also participated in the same. Thousands of his supporters attended for the celebration.

Facebook Post

We also found a poster of the event on their Instagram page.

We also discovered a YouTube video uploaded by the Tribune on June 6, 2022, with the caption "For Sidhu Moosewala's prayer meet, youth urged to wear turbans"

Thus, we can see that the viral video is old and depicts an incident involving the turban tying camp held during Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala's last prayer meeting. It has no connection to the ongoing farmers' protest.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False.

The viral video is from June 2022 and shows a turban tying camp organised ahead of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s last prayer meeting. It has nothing to do with farmers’ protests.
