A few days back, Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel and killed citizens and army personnel. In response to this, Israel struck back the Gaza strip with rockets that destroyed many infrastructures in the region.

Against this backdrop, a video of a mosque being destroyed is going viral on social media. It can be seen in the video that while prayer was going on in the mosque, an explosion took place that demolished the mosque. Users are claiming that this mosque in Palestine was destroyed by Israelites during the current war.

However, Fact Crescendo found that the claim was shared without proper context. This is an old video from Syria and has no connection with the current Israel-Palestine war.

A Google Reverse Image Search on a keyframe of the viral video led us to the image of the same mosque/shrine published on a website in 2014. According to the report, this is an image of Uwais Qurani Shrine which was destroyed by terrorists with the support of Turkey.

A relevant keyword search on YouTube, we found the same video uploaded on a channel on 8 June 2014. According to the information provided, this is Uwais Al-Qurani mosque which was destroyed by ISIS.
