Fact Check-

A Google Reverse Image Search on a key frame of the viral video led us to Global News’s YouTube channel. On 8 August 2020, the same video was uploaded on this channel.

According to the report, this incident took place in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon in 2020. A huge quantity of fireworks was kept in the ammonium nitrate chemical factory. A fire broke out in the factory for some reason. Because of the presence of chemicals, the fire spread out rapidly. This was followed by a huge explosion. The workers there had raised their concern of safety but were neglected by superiors.

Below you can see another video of the same incident with different camera angle.

Al-Jazeera reported in 2020 that 218 people lost their lives and 7,000 people were injured in this incident. 3 lakhs people had to be displaced due to the destruction of 77,000 houses. According to the report, 2,750 ammonium nitrate chemicals that had been improperly stored for six years exploded after a fire broke out at a factory in the port of Beirut, the Lebanese capital.

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. Old video of explosion in Beirut, capital city of Lebanon falsely shared as footage of Israel-Palestine war.
