A train video is going viral on social media. It features a luxury train. Some social media users are spreading it in the name of Indian railway reform. Narendra Modi and his team showed rapid improvement in railway infrastructure and trains, which earlier looked like a third world country. The caption states “#WorldClassTrains | In a major makeover NaMo & his team have shown a rapid improvement in the #railway #infrastructure & #trains which earlier resembled a third-world country.

We noticed TUTUP PINTU inscribed at one point in the video near the gate visible in the train after closely examining it. A Google search revealed that it is an Indonesian word. It means to shut the door. Keeping this in mind, we began exploring YouTube for videos of Indonesian trains. We discovered other videos in which a train resembling the viral video can be seen in the name of India. Five months ago, a video on a YouTube channel featured an Indonesian luxury train. Aside from the doors and seats, several commonalities were observed.

With the help of a relevant keyword search, we discovered images comparable to the train seen in the viral video via a series of tweets from the Twitter account of Kereta Api Indonesia, Indonesia’s public railway operator. According to the tweets, this is a Luxury Train 2 that launched on 26 May, 2019.

We also found media reports about the launch of this train in 2019. According to the reports, KA Gajayana is a train that boasts facilities like minibars, entertainment units, and seats with 140-degree reclining capacity. The train runs on four routes.

We also found several YouTube videos featuring the interiors of the same train in the viral video.
