Fact-Check

Although we couldn’t trace the original source of the image, several indicators strongly suggest it is not genuine:

Branding Inconsistencies: The image contains several spelling errors in the brand name. Instead of “Fisher-Price,” it’s written as “Fisher Picce.” Additionally, “KIT” is misspelled as “KT.” Furthermore, the text in the yellow circular sticker is written in illegible, non-English characters.

Likely AI-Generated: Our analysis of the image using an AI Image Detector indicated a 99.8% probability of it being AI-generated. This finding strongly supports the conclusion that the image is not authentic.

No Official Proves: Neither Fisher-Price nor its parent company, Mattel, has advertised or released any product resembling the “My First Dealer Kit.” The company is renowned for its educational toys and has no history of producing such controversial items. Furthermore, this alleged product is nowhere to be found in the brand’s online store.

We have contacted Mattel, Fisher-Price’s parent company, for an official statement about this viral image. As of this writing, we haven’t received a response. We’ll update this fact-check if and when the company provides an official comment.

Previous Hoaxes: This is not the first time fake Fisher-Price products have gone viral. Earlier in 2024, a similar hoax involved a “My First Seance” play set, which was also confirmed to be AI-generated. (Read more here)

“Fisher Picce” vs. “Fisher-Price”
Some users have pointed out that the branding in the viral image reads “Fisher Picce,” not “Fisher-Price.” While this is accurate, it further supports the conclusion that the product is not real. The alteration of the brand name is likely a deliberate attempt by the creator of the fake image to avoid copyright issues or to make the parody more evident.

Fisher-Price, the legitimate toy manufacturer, has no connection to this image or any product resembling the “My First Dealer Kit.” The logo, packaging, and product details have all been digitally manipulated, including the misspelling of the brand name. This reinforces that the image is a satirical creation and not a genuine Fisher-Price product.

Conclusion

The claim that Fisher-Price is selling a “My First Dealer Kit” is inaccurate. The image circulating on social media shows signs of being AI-generated and contains several inconsistencies that suggest it is not a genuine product. According to available information, Fisher-Price has not released any such product. The company’s focus remains on producing educational and age-appropriate toys for children.
