An old video of RSS rally from Kerala goes viral as a recent video from Haryana.

This viral video shows RSS rally from Kerala and it dates back to 2022.

A video of members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) marching through the streets is going viral on social media with a claim that it is a recent rally from Haryana ahead of the state election.

The caption states “RSS in Haryana. Great to see they are in Hyper Active mode now. All internal issues between RSS & BJP settled. They know MatraBhumi Bharat is beyond any Egos . Proud to be swayamsewak”.

Let’s check the truth

Fact Check-

We began our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on google and the results led us to the same video uploaded on Instagram on 7 October, 2022 with a caption, “Tanur , Malappuram district of KERALA…..where the Malabar riot where occurred against the HINDUS during 1921”. This indicates that the video is not recent.

Moving forward, we came across the same video on the Facebook page of Vishwa Samvad Kendra-Kokan uploaded on 5 October, 2022. The description states, RSS marching through Malappuram on the occasion of Vijayadashami (Dusshera), a Hindu religious festival.

Thus, we can understand that the video is at least two years old and is not linked to the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana.

While observing the video carefully we can see a green road sign that reads Tanur, which is a town located in the Malappuram district of Kerala. In the video, we could also see a green signboard on the left, with the words Co-operative Agricultural & Rural Development Bank.

Geolocating Tanur on Google Maps, we found the same blue billboard as visible in the viral video. The green buildings and blue buildings, identical with the viral video, were also spotted.

A video report shared by Tatwamayi News from 2022 also carried different visuals of the same rally held in Kerala.

Taking account of these evidences we can clearly understand that an old video from Kerala falsely shared linking to Haryana election.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo discovered that the claim made in the viral video to be False. This viral video shows RSS rally from Kerala and it dates back to 2022. It has no link to Haryana.
