A Facebook user shared the same video claiming it to be a protest against the BJP in Bihar following the election results.
However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and unrelated to the Bihar elections. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
At the beginning of our investigation, we conducted a relevant keyword search but found no credible news regarding any such recent large-scale protest in Bihar.
Moving forward, we took screenshots from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on 26 September 2025. According to the caption, the video shows the last journey of the renowned singer Zubeen Garg, in Guwahati, Assam.
This makes it clear that the video predates the Bihar election results.
We conducted a relevant keyword search which led us to other videos of Zubeen Garg’s last journey from the Guwahati airport to his home in Kahilipara.
In the viral video, we noticed the vehicle carrying Zubeen Garg’s mortal remains.
We geolocated the place in the viral video. A comparison between the screenshots from the viral video and the Google Maps images can be seen below.
This makes it clear that the viral video shows renowned singer Zubeen Garg’s last journey from the Guwahati airport to his home in Kahilipara, Guwahati.

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show a protest against the BJP in Bihar following the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 results. The video shows renowned singer Zubeen Garg’s last journey from the Guwahati airport to his home in Kahilipara, Guwahati.
