AI VIDEO: PM Modi Did Not Announce a Free Bike on Aadhaar Card

A video is going viral on social media claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a new scheme where every Aadhaar card holder will get a free Splendor bike.

The video shows PM Modi speaking as if he is announcing this offer, and then explains how to book the free bike through a website.

Fact Crescendo received several requests from readers on our WhatsApp Helpline (9049053770) to verify this claim.

We found that the video is fake and has been made using (AI) tools to look real.

WHAT’S THE CLAIM?

The viral video begins with a clip where PM Modi appears to say, “If you have an Aadhaar card, your dream of owning a bike will soon come true. One Aadhaar card will get one free Splendor bike.”

The clip then instructs viewers to like the video, comment with their name, and search for a website called smtai.net on Google.

It says users should open the first website, scroll down, fill in their name and mobile number, and click on “Book Now” to get their free bike. |

FACT-CHECK

We found no such announcement or scheme from the Indian government or the Prime Minister. There is no official press release, or mention of any free bike scheme for Aadhaar card holders on government websites.

A reverse image search of the video showed that the original clip is from February 24, 2019, when PM Modi was in Gorakhpur launching the PM-KISAN scheme for farmers.

In that speech, he did not mention anything about free bikes. You can watch the original speech on PM Modi’s official YouTube channel.

After the video went viral, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) clarified that it is an AI-generated fake video and confirmed that PM Modi never made any such announcement.

The viral video also directs users to a website called smtai.net, asking them to fill in their name and mobile number to “book” a bike.

This website has no connection with any government scheme or department. Such websites are often used by scammers to collect personal information like mobile numbers, Aadhaar details, or bank data.

CONCLUSION

The claim that PM Modi has announced free bikes for all Aadhaar card holders is false. The viral video is fake and created using AI editing tools. The government has not made any such announcement.

These kinds of AI-edited videos are becoming common online. The goal is often to drive traffic to fraudulent websites or trick people into sharing private information.Always verify such claims from trusted government sources. For genuine welfare schemes, visit the official website myscheme.gov.in.
