The woman in the image is Bangladeshi actress Jouty Islam, and both images are related to Bangladeshi films.
Two images have gone viral on social media, claiming that a Hindu woman named Nandini Mandal, who allegedly converted to Islam after marrying her Muslim lover Abdul Adil Khan, was later attacked and thrown out by him. In the first image, a man and a woman can be seen posing together, while the second image allegedly shows the same woman with burn injuries on her face.
The users who share the image claims that the image depicts a love jihad incident and the first image is from 2023 and the second shows her current condition in 2025.
Let’s check the truth
The same post is going viral on Facebook as well.
Fact Check-
We started our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a Facebook post by Jouty Islam, a Bangladeshi actress, where the same video had been shared on 21 October. The post’s caption states, “There’s an unknown story behind everything in life, a story that no one wants to know or understand”. (Rough translation from Bangla to English). The post features a video showing her with burn marks, clearly a makeup effect. The second image in the viral post was taken from this video only.
In the post we can see Jouty Islam mentioned the word “shooting” in the caption and in reply to a comment, she clarified that this video was part of a shooting sequence.
These leads hinted that the visual might be from a film shoot. Then we looked further into the actress’s Instagram profile and found the viral image of the alleged love jihad couple. The post featured the same picture seen in the viral claim and mentioned that it is from a Bengali movie titled “Widow Wife.”
As the video gained traction on social media, Jouty Islam herself addressed the viral claim by sharing both viral images on her Instagram account and stating that these social media claims are false. The post states, “I woke up and saw that my name had changed to Nandini Mandal and Tuhin Chowdhury had changed to Abdul. Although I had noticed this before, I ignored it repeatedly. But many other news like this are being sent to my family, friends, colleagues repeatedly. which is absolutely not appropriate. “Please stop spreading misinformation and avoid creating unnecessary issues about religion. Let’s stay respectful.”
So, it is clear that the images from Bangladeshi movies are being falsely shared on social media with a fabricated love jihad narrative.
Conclusion-
Fact crescendo found the claim made along with the viral image to be False. The woman in the image is Bangladeshi actress Jouty Islam, and both images are related to Bangladeshi films.
