However, as we investigated, we came to know that the viral video had been edited. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a longer version of the viral video uploaded on the YouTube channel “Republic World” on 18 October 2025. The caption of the video read, “Lt. Gen Rajiv Ghai Calls Out Pakistan’s Bluff, Reveals Details Of Op Sindoor | Forces First Conclave”.

The video matches the viral video but the audio is different. In this video, Lt. Gen Rajiv Ghai spoke about Operation Sindoor. Nowhere in the video did he state that the politicisation or saffronization of the Indian Armed Forces would damage the morale of the Army. The description of the video reads, “…Lt. Gen Rajiv Ghai delivers a courageous talk at the Forces First Conclave, exposing Pakistan’s long-standing deception and revealing vital details about Operation Sindoor. He describes how India’s Armed Forces improved deterrence, intelligence, and precise response to cross-border threats. He shows how contemporary warfare, technology, and decisive leadership define India’s proactive defense posture.”

Further, we found a tweet on the official X handle of PIB Fact Check refuting the claim.

This makes it clear that the viral video has been edited.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the viral video has been altered. In the original video, Lt. Gen Rajiv Ghai spoke about Operation Sindoor.
