However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was misleading. The video is not from Karnataka. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation, by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the video was uploaded on 2 August 2025.

The caption of the video read, “In Masayipeta village, Yadadri district, a clash occurred when Muslim individuals confronted volunteers at a high school where a rss Shaka  branch was being held, threatening them not to conduct the branch in the village. They further threatened to “finish everyone” if the branch is held again tomorrow.

And Hundreds participated in shaka next day”

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a video on the Facebook page “Vishwa Samvad Kendra Bharat” on 1 August 2025. We found some similarities with the location shown in the viral video.

The caption of the video read, “Yadadri, Telangana.

30th July 2025, a regular Shakha in Masaipet village of Yadadri district, few anti-social elements tried to stop the Shakha. The Swayamsevaks faced the situation bravely refusing to back out.

And continued the regular shakha very next day at the same place like everyday”

A report published on VSK Telangana on 1 August 2025 that contained a screenshot similar to the viral video reads, “…Fast forward to July 30, 2025, in the village of Masayipet, Yadadri district of Telangana. As an RSS shakha was about to be held, a few miscreants approached and warned that such shakhas should not be conducted there. But just like in Moga, the swayamsevaks remained unfazed. The very next day, the shakha resumed at the scheduled time, and it will continue in the future as well.”

We searched for the village Masayipet, Yadadri, Telangana on Google Maps and found a video that matches the location of the viral video. According to Google Maps, the location is Masayipet Zila Parishad School. A comparison between the screenshots from the viral video and the Google Maps video can be seen below.

The geolocation of the place can be seen here.

This makes it clear that the viral video is not from Karnataka. It’s from Telangana.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video is not from the Yadgir district of Karnataka. The video is from the Masayipet village in Yadadri, Telangana.
