This viral video of Akshay Kumar is from the year 2017. He had released this video on the occasion of New Year regarding molestation in Bengaluru.

The ongoing dispute between Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh has resurfaced in the run-up to the Bihar elections in 2025. This time, Jyoti Singh has responded to her husband’s accusations by stating that she would contest the elections on her own if she wants. Jyoti Singh, who is the second wife of Pawan Singh, had accused him of infidelity and with the election inching closer, the two had been fighting over who would contest. Pawan Singh and his second wife Jyoti Singh have been embroiled in a messy divorce case since 2022. Recently she accused Pawan Singh of cheating and harassment. 

In this scenario, a video of Akshay Kumar is going viral on social media. The users who shared the video claim that the actor has expressed his opinion on this matter through this video.

In the video, Akshay Kumar can be heard saying, that he is also a father of a daughter and that society should not call them human if they cannot respect women. He also stressed the need to change the mindset regarding women rather than judging them on the basis of their clothes.

Fact Check-

A reverse image search on Google with the key frames of the video led us to the original video tweeted by Akshay Kumar’s official Twitter handle in 2017. The video has been captioned as, “The Bangalore incident makes me feel we r evolving backwards, from humans to animals, rather beasts coz even animals are better! Truly shameful.”

In further search we found this video uploaded on NDTV’s official YouTube channel on 5 January, 2017. According to the information, “Akshay Kumar released this video expressing anger over the molestation incident in Bengaluru on the occasion of New Year.”

In 2017 some women said they were molested by mobs of men while taking part in New Year’s Eve celebrations in Bangalore. Times Now and Zee News and NDTV had also shared this video in 2017 with the same information.

Meanwhile, we checked whether Akshay Kumar made any remarks on Pawan Singh-wife divorce controversy, but we could not find any credible news reports about that.
