However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was misleading. The journalist is not from Aaj Tak. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a longer version of the viral video uploaded on the YouTube channel Bharat Raftar TV on 22 May 2025. The description of the video read, “This podcast is of former RAW chief of India Amarjit Singh Dulat, in which he spoke in abusive language to the editor of ‘Bharat Raftar’. In this podcast, Kashmir Files, POK, Pahalgam, Bharat Jodo Yatra and various issues related to Kashmir have been discussed….”

From the timestamp 47:56, the viral clip can be seen, where Jitesh Jethanandani, journalist and editor-in-chief of Bharat Raftaar TV, says that he had received intelligence that former RAW chief Amarjit Singh Dulat was recently in Pakistan.

Dulat denied the claim, but Jethanandani continued to question him, after which Dulat lost his temper.

On 23 September 2025, Aaj Tak posted on its Twitter account clarifying that it was neither the Aaj Tak channel nor any Aaj Tak journalist who was attacked by former RAW chief A.S. Dulat.

We found a post from journalist Jitesh Jethanandani, who stated that he is the director of Bharat Raftaar and that the interview was conducted for the Bharat Raftaar TV channel. He also clarified that this is not an Aaj Tak video.

This makes it clear that the journalist shown in the video is from Bharat Raftar TV.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The journalist shown in the video with A.S. Dulat is not from Aaj Tak. He is Jitesh Jethanandani, a journalist from Bharat Raftar TV.
