Prime Minister Modi was the chief guest at the 50th anniversary celebrations of Sikkim’s statehood on 29 May 2025.Another video of the same occasion was found to have been posted on the Facebook account of Sukhim Yakthung Sapsok Songchumbho on May 30, 2025.

The description states, “We, the Sikkimese Limboo Tribe, under the banner of Sukhim Yakthung Sapsok Songchumbho, were eagerly prepared to extend a warm welcome to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on his scheduled visit to Sikkim on 29th May 2025, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Sikkim’s Statehood.

Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions and low visibility, the Hon’ble Prime Minister could not land in Sikkim. However, he graciously addressed the people of Sikkim virtually from Bagdogra. On this significant occasion, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for his kind words and warm wishes for Sikkim and its people.

Based on these evidences, we can understand that an old video of a rally from Sikkim was shared with the claim that the people of Nepal also want Narendra Modi as their leader.

Conclusion- Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This video shows a rally held in Sikkim 3 months ago.
