We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of ANI News on 15 November 2023, titled “‘Mere Naam…’ Priyanka Gandhi bats for movie on PM Modi similar to Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam’.” The video shows her speaking at a public rally in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh.

In it, Priyanka Gandhi is seen criticising PM Modi’s style of politics, but the remarks are from 2023 and unrelated to the recent incident.

Moving forward, we found multiple news reports from 2023 regarding this speech of Priyaka Gandhi. As per these reports, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi while addressing a public rally in Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh lampooned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating “Since PM Modi keeps crying, a movie should be made on him ‘Mere Naam’ similar to Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam.’

Upon further search, we found the complete footage of this viral video on the official YouTube account of The Indian National Congress. The exact time and location of the statement were confirmed with the 21:43 timestamp.

So, taking account of all these details, we can understand that the viral video dates back to November 2023, when Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made remarks about PM Modi in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. It has no connection to the derogatory remarks against his mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar.
