Using these hints, we conducted further searches and found a news report published by Dhaka Tribune on 30 August, 2025. The report stated that the Pagla Mosque, located in Bangladesh’s Kishoreganj region, collected Tk 12.09 crore in donations after opening its 13 donation boxes, surpassing its previous record of Tk 9.17 crore collected in April. “The counting, conducted on the mosque’s second floor, took 13 hours and involved over 450 people, including mosque staff, madrasa students, bank officials, and volunteers,” the report noted.

We also found several Bangladeshi YouTube news channels that carried the same visuals stating that the video was from Pagla Masjid in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh, and showed the process of counting and dividing donations collected there.

Meanwhile we searched if there were any reports of the Muslim community in India assisting with flood relief in Punjab, and we found news reports published by Punjab Kesari and Zee News, which confirmed that Muslim communities in India have indeed provided aid. But this viral video is unrelated to them.

Conclusion

Fact Crescendo found that the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. The video of donation money received in Bangladesh’s Pagla Mosque is shared as Muslims donating for the Punjab floods.
