No public participation in Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar- Know the truth

This video shows Rahul Gandhi visiting the Dev Surya temple in Aurangabad early in the morning with a few party volunteers on the second day of the Voter Adhikar Yatra.

On 17 August, 2025, Rahul Gandhi launched a Voter Adhikar Yatra in Sasaram, Bihar. The objective of the Yatra is to oppose the process of ongoing special intensive revision of the voters’ list in Bihar. Leaders of the INDI alliance are also participating in it. The 16-day yatra will pass through more than twenty districts of the state and conclude on 1st September at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Against this backdrop, a video of Rahul Gandhi’s vehicle passing through a deserted road is going viral on social media. Though Rahul Gandhi is not seen in the vehicle, security personnel are present in the vicinity. The video is currently circulating on social media claiming that there is no public participation in the Voter Adhikar Yatra.

Let’s check the truth.

Fact Check-

We started our investigation by closely observing the video and found that Rahul Gandhi is seen visiting a temple and we can hear loud noise in the background. By conducting a Google reverse image, we came across a similar video uploaded on  Instagram page of PTI News. The caption states, “Congress MP and LoP in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, along with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, visited the historic Dev Surya temple in Aurangabad, Bihar during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra”.

Using these hints, we conducted further searches and found other reports related to Rahul Gandhi’s temple visit. The same vehicles can be seen in the video circulating in the news provided by “The Tribune”.

The video of the Voter Adhikar Yatra, broadcast by the NewsX Facebook page on 18 August, clearly shows a significant level of support on the second day of the march, which contradicts the claims made in the viral post.

The Live Hindustan video also shows Voter Adhikar Yatra in Aurangabad had a good turnout on the second day.

A video of Rahul Gandhi visiting Dev Surya temple in Aurangabad early in the morning with a few party volunteers during the second day of the voter rights campaign has gone viral as there is no public participation in Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar
