Tejashwi Yadav Played A Bhojpuri Song During The Voter Adhikar Yatra? Here’s The Truth.

Recently a video of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav playing a Bhojpuri song on a speaker accusing the BJP and ECI of “Vote Chori” went viral on social media. Sharing the video, users claimed that Tejashwi Yadav played the song during the “Voter Adhikar Yatra”

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the video has been edited. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a report published in Hindustan Times on 1 May 2024 that contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video. According to the report, “Tejashwi Yadav played the recording of Narendra Modi’s speech from a portable Bluetooth speaker during an election rally in Madhubani.”

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a tweet on the official X handle of Tejashwi Yadav on 1 May 2024 where a longer version of the video was uploaded. In the video, Tejashwi Yadav was playing different speeches of Narendra Modi on the Bluetooth speaker.

A comparison between the viral video and the original video can be seen below.

This makes it clear that the viral video has been edited.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the viral video has been altered. Tejashwi Yadav was not playing a Bhojpuri song on the speaker. Instead, he was playing speeches of Narendra Modi. Moreover, the video is old and unrelated to the Voter Adhikar Yatra.
