A video of a woman and child falling from a bike into a flooded road is going viral on social media. The users who share the post claims that it shows India’s poor infrastructure. The story came to light just days after severe rains caused flood-like conditions in numerous regions of the country, particularly in north India.

Fact Check- 

By conducting a reverse image search on one of the video’s key frames, we discovered the same video uploaded on the Facebook page of Facture, Karachi based media and news source. The caption of the video states, “Live proof of Karachi development family falls into hidden pit”.

In further search we found a post on Twitter which also featured the same video noting that it was from Karachi. It was also uploaded on 20 August.

Using a VPN network, we conducted keyword searches and found the viral video uploaded on YouTube by Pakistani media outlet, Capital TV, on 20 August 2025. The channel reported that the woman and a child fell from their vehicle on a flooded Karachi Road after heavy rainfall.

As per the Dawn report, Karachi was brought to a standstill by unprecedented downpours that flooded major roads, disrupted power and air travel on 19 August. So, based on all these evidences, we can understand that this video is from Karachi, Pakistan, not related to India.

Conclusion- 

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This viral video of a mother and child falling into a flooded road from a moving bike is not from India, but Pakistan.
