This viral video of massive crowd is not related to Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Bihar

This is an old video from Maharashtra not Bihar.

On 17 August, 2025, Rahul Gandhi launched a Vote Adhikar Yatra in Sasaram, Bihar. The objective of the Yatra is to oppose the process of ongoing special intensive revision of the voters’ list in Bihar. Leaders of the INDI alliance are also participating in it. The 16-day yatra will pass through more than twenty districts of the state and conclude on 1st September at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Against this backdrop, a video of huge crowd gathered in a field is going viral on social media with the claim that it shows the Congress’ ongoing ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar.

The caption of the post states, “A Tsunami of people have gathered in Bihar for the rally of INDIA alliance leader and LoP Rahul Gandhi. You couldn’t find and inch of empty space at the venue of the rally”.

But did the crowd seen in the video really come to Rahul Gandhi’s rally?

Let’s check the truth.

Fact Check-

We started our investigation by running a Google reverse image search and the results led us to the same video uploaded on an Instagram page in June 2025. The visuals matching with the viral video and the caption states it was shot at Hindkesari Pedgaon Ground in Pedgaon, Satara district, Maharashtra.

Moving forward, we found the same visuals posted on an unverified YouTube channel on 9 July with a caption, “RECORD BREAK PUBLIC #vairal #animals #bull #maharashtra”

Using these hints, we conducted further searches and found the same video uploaded on an Instagram handle named ‘@maharashtra_king_mathur___1001’. It was shared on 28 June and its caption identified the location as ‘Pedgaon Hindkesri Maidan’ in Maharashtra.

For more clarification we geo-located the location in the viral video using Google Maps. The distinct hill visible in the video matches with a June 2025 image uploaded on Google Maps from Hindkesri Pedgaon Maidan.

So, it is evident that the video is old and is from Maharashtra.

For more clarification we contacted the organisers of the bullock cart race for a confirmation regarding the viral claim. The story will be updated as soon as we receive a response.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This is an old video from Maharashtra not Bihar. It is from a bullock cart race organised at the Hindkesari Ground in Pedgaon, Maharashtra.
