Edited Video Of Kangana Ranaut On ‘Vote Theft’ Going Viral.

Recently a video of BJP MP Kangana Ranaut allegedly blaming the Election Commission of India for “vote theft” went viral on social media. Sharing the video, a user wrote in Hindi, “वोट चोरी को लेकर कंगना रनौत भी चुनाव आयोग पर भड़की।(Kangana Ranaut also lashed out at the Election Commission over vote theft.)

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the viral video has been edited. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by conducting a relevant keyword search. This led us to a report published on the official YouTube channel of “Times Now” on 18 August 2025. In the video, Kangana Ranaut says, “…Election Commission has reprimanded Rahul Gandhi, that he insulted people and voters. Rahul Gandhi has dishonoured the voters he named. Despite such reprimanding, they (the INDIA bloc MPs) did drama here today. So, you can understand that if they don’t get power, they would not let any work be done…”

The viral video omits the part where Kangana Ranaut says, “Election Commission has reprimanded Rahul Gandhi”

This makes it clear that the viral video has been edited. The viral video has been shared omitting the part where Kangana Ranaut says, “Election Commission has reprimanded Rahul Gandhi”.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the video has been altered. As claimed, Kangana Ranaut didn’t lash out at the Election Commission over vote theft. The viral video has been shared omitting the part where Kangana Ranaut says, “Election Commission has reprimanded Rahul Gandhi”.
