Fact Check-

By performing a reverse image search with the key frames of the viral video and the results led us to a similar video uploaded by the Indian Express Tamil Nadu on Twitter in March 2025. According to it, a woman caused a stir at the Coimbatore airport after seeing her husband with another woman there.

Moving forward, we found several news reports about the incident. As per the reports, this incident took place on the evening of March 26, when a flight from Chennai landed in Coimbatore. Two passengers, a man and a woman, who disembarked from the flight, were then confronted by another woman. This woman alleged that the man was her husband.

Thanthi TV, on their official YouTube channel, had shared a video report on the incident. It was uploaded on 27 March and its title when translated to English said, “Kovai Airport | Husband Wife Fight | Woman scolds husband and destroys Coimbatore Airport.”

As the video gained traction on social media, the Tamil Nadu Government Fact Check Unit clarified about this incident on 16 August 2025. The post states, “Rumor being spread that a taxi driver misbehaved with a woman at Tamil Nadu airports. The video actually shows a personal dispute in which a woman confronted her unfaithful lover at Coimbatore airport in March. It is being misrepresented online with the false claim that taxi drivers at Tamil Nadu airports are harassing passengers”.

These evidences confirms that a video of a couple’s dispute at Coimbatore airport is falsely shared as cab drivers forcibly dragging travellers to taxis at the airport in Tamil Nadu.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found that the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This video shows a couple’s dispute at the Coimbatore airport in March 2025. It has no connection with cab drivers.
