Fact Check-

We began our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on Google, which led us to a similar video uploaded by India Today NE on their YouTube channel on 4 August 2025 with a caption, “Assam: Chairs go flying as panchayat meet turns violent in Doboka, several injured”. The description part mentions that “A village-level meeting convened at the Jamuna GaonPanchayat in Doboka, Assam turned violent following a heated altercation between the relatives of an elected panchayat representative and a group of local residents”.

As per reports, “The clash reportedly stemmed from disputes related to past allegations of corruption and administrative irregularities. Eyewitnesses said the confrontation quickly escalated, with individuals attacking one another using plastic chairs as weapons. Several people sustained injuries of varying severity during the incident. The meeting was part of a government-mandated initiative, where local administrations had directed newly elected panchayat representatives to hold special gram sabhas to discuss the implementation of various welfare schemes,”

Moving forward, we also found a video report by North East Live on the incident of 4 August. It states that, “This is the picture of Jamunamukh Gram Panchayat, where a fierce fight broke out between two parties during the settlement of the scheme and the Gram Panchayat office was destroyed”.

Jamunamukh Gram Panchayat office is in Doboka, Hojai district, Assam. From this, it is evident that the viral video has no connection to Bihar, as it originates from Assam.

Thus, we can see that the viral video is from Assam and it has no link to Bihar. An unrelated video of a clash during a gram panchayat meeting in Assam falsely shared linking to Assembly election in Bihar.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This video shows a clash between two groups during a gram panchayat meeting in Assam. It has no link to Biha
