This emotional video of father-daughter is not related to the Ahmedabad plane crash

This video of father-daughter is not related to the Ahmedabad plane crash, and it dates back to March 2025.

The Air India passenger plane from Ahmedabad to London carrying 242 passengers and crew crashed just moments after taking off from the Ahmedabad airport on 12 June resulting in the deaths of 241 people, with only one passenger surviving. Following the accident, a video of a little girl screaming and clinging to a man’s chest, pleading with him not to leave her and go, while the man attempts to hand her over to another individual. The post has been shared with the claim that the video is of a man who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash, whose daughter was stopping him from going to London at the airport.

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation with a Google reverse image search with the key frames of the video and whose result us to a similar video uploaded on the TikTok handle @sunzidahossain0 on 11 March 2025. This makes it clear that the viral video is not recent. Whereas the Ahmedabad plane crash happened on 12 June. This video predates the plane crash and it has no link to it.

When we checked the TikTok account, we found several other videos featuring the people seen in the viral footage. The account also included a link to a Facebook profile belonging to the same user. 

When we checked the linked Facebook account, we found that the extended version of the viral video had also been uploaded there on 18 March 2025.

For more clarification, we reached out to the Facebook user using the phone number given in the bio. We spoke to Shahadat Hossain, and he told us that the person seen in the viral video is him and the girl is his daughter Mahnoor Hossain Fatiha. Shahadat said that he is absolutely fine and has nothing to do with the Ahmedabad plane crash. He is currently in Oman, where he runs his business. He is originally from Bangladesh and his wife and daughter are also there. Shahadat said that the viral video is from March this year, when he was going to Oman from Dhaka airport. The other person seen in the video is his father-in-law.

Based on these evidences, we can understand that this video is unrelated to the plane crash in Ahmedabad. 

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. This video of father-daughter is not related to the Ahmedabad plane crash. The person seen in the video is safe and sound.
