Sharing the video, a social media user wrote, “This is today’s video. Many people died in Dubai.”
Fact Check-
A Google Reverse Image Search led us to a report on BBC’s YouTube channel on 12 March 2011. The video carries the viral clip. According to the report, this video is from Japan after the country was hit by a massive flood followed by a destructive tsunami. The natural disaster took place in the afternoon. A lot of people were reported trapped inside buildings and shops. Buildings, boats and vehicles, shipping containers on the coastal region got washed away in the massive Tsunami.
Another report of the same incident was posted on ABC News’ Facebook Page.
