Fact Check-

Our investigation began with a reverse image search of key frames from the viral video and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on the ‘PAVOROSO’ YouTube channel on 28 May, 2025. However, it is explicitly stated in Portuguese, alongside the video, that it was created using AI.

This channel has a large number of AI-generated videos depicting floods, tsunamis, and other natural disasters. This Brazilian channel’s about section makes it clear that AI videos are uploaded here.

We also saw some evidence in this video which can be said that this video is fake. For example, only half of a vehicle is visible in the video. At the same time, a truck parked nearby is shaking strangely.

Furthermore, a few AI detector tools confirmed that the video is AI-generated.

Conclusion- Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This video was generated using Artificial Intelligence. Floods, on the other hand, have caused widespread devastation in the northeastern states.
