No, The Missile Didn’t Explode While The Gaza Man Was Performing Stunts With His Skateboard.

Recently a video of a person flipping a skateboard and performing stunts on a missile went viral on social media. The video shows a man performing stunts on a missile with his skateboard and suddenly the missile explodes. Sharing the video, users claimed that the video was from Gaza and it was recorded live. The person and the cameraman died while recording this stunt.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the video had been altered. In the original video, the missile didn’t explode. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram post with a longer version of the viral video, uploaded on 18 May 2025. However, the missile didn’t explode in this video and the person shows a ‘victory sign’ after the stunt. 

The caption of the post reads, “These are the little joyful things that bring light when it all feels dark. @gaza_skate_team keep resisting!!”

This post led us to the Instagram handle “gaza_skate_team“. We found the viral video on this Instagram handle uploaded on 11 May 2025. A text overlay on the video reads, “Just to warn and raise awareness** or **Publish for awareness only”

The caption of the video read, “⚠️ *”Public Safety Alert!* ⚠️

Never approach or touch any suspicious objects left by war—you risk your life and others. Spread awareness, not danger. Stay safe! #WarRemnants #StayAwayStaySafe”

The Gaza Skate Team is from Gaza, Palestine and collects money for repairing the skate park and supporting children and youth.

According to the information given in the video, it was made for awareness purposes.

We found a longer version of the video on this Instagram handle uploaded on 20 May 2025. However, the missile didn’t explode in the video.

This makes it clear that the viral video has been edited. There was no explosion in the original video.

From our investigation, we can say that the video has been Altered. The viral video has been made for awareness purposes only. There was no explosion in the original video.
