However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The video is old and not from Pakistan. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a report published on 22 November 2024 which contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video.

The report read, “Air strikes hit south Beirut on Friday, crumpling an 11-storey building, as Israel kept up its deadly bombardment of strongholds of Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

The Lebanese health ministry said Israeli strikes in the south of the country killed five Hezbollah-affiliated paramedics. The World Health Organisation said 226 health workers and patients have been killed in Lebanon since Israel and Hezbollah began exchanging fire in October last year.

The state-run National News Agency (NNA) said Israeli warplanes carried out successive rounds of strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs from early morning until evening, including on two buildings closer to the city centre. AFPTV footage showed plumes of smoke over the southern suburbs.

NNA said Israeli strikes also hit multiple targets in south Lebanon after the Israeli military issued warnings for part of the coastal city of Tyre and other areas…”

We conducted a relevant keyword search which led us to a longer version of the video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of the AFP News Agency on 22 November 2024. The description of the video reads, “AFPTV footage shows the moment an Israeli strike hits a building in Beirut’s southern suburbs following an Israeli army evacuation call. The latest raids follow intense Israeli attacks on south Beirut as well as other areas in Lebanon’s south and east, where Israel says it has been targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah militants.”

Other reports can be seen here and here.

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and from Beirut.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show an Indian airstrike on Pakistan. It shows an Israeli airstrike on a building in Beirut on 22 November 2024.
