This viral image does not show Alia Bhatt with arrested YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra

The woman in the viral image with Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt is not arrested YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, but journalist Rana Ayyub. 

Jyoti Malhotra, a travel vlogger and YouTuber from Haryana was arrested on 17 May, on charges of espionage for Pakistan. Several images and videos from Jyoti Malhotra’s travel to Pakistan have recently gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, an image of Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt has been come out, with a claim that the woman in that picture is Jyoti Malhotra.

Fact Check- 

We performed a reverse image search on the image which led us to a tweet shared by journalist and author Rana Ayyub. Rana Ayyub had posted this viral image on her Twitter handle on 27 November, 2014. The caption states, “Sister act with @aliaa08@PoojaB1972 Power women @MaheshNBhatt”

So we can understand that an old image of alia Bhatt with journalist Rana Ayyub falsely shared as  Jyoti Malhotra, a travel vlogger and YouTuber from Haryana arrested on 17 May, on charges of espionage for Pakistan.
