However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was misleading. The video predates Operation Sindoor and is unrelated to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a YouTube channel where the viral video was uploaded on 29 March 2025. This makes it clear that the viral video predates Operation Sindoor.

The caption of the video reads, “Fire broke out in Sadiqabad Landa Bazar.

Taking this clue, using relevant keywords, we found several videos similar to the viral video on various YouTube channels, which can be seen here and here.

According to reports, a fire incident took place in the Landa Bazar area of Sadiqabad, Pakistan, on 27 March 2025.

Although we couldn’t confirm the source of the voiceover in the video, it’s clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to Operation Sindoor.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video doesn’t show a blast in Karachi recently. It shows a fire incident in Landa Bazar, Sadiqabad, Pakistan on 27 March 2025.
